Jordanians rally in solidarity with Palestinians

AMMAN — Several demonstrations were held in Amman and other governorates on Friday to express support and solidarity with the Gaza Strip and to denounce the Israeli aggression, which has resulted in the deaths of thousands. The protesters condemned the occupation for its tyranny, arrogance and the "deliberate" targeting of innocent civilians, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Protesters also urged the international community to fulfil its legal and moral responsibilities in the face of the Israeli massacres and the violations against civilians in Gaza, as well as the aggressions by settlers and the Israeli army in the Strip and the West Bank, Petra, reported. They also hailed the resilience of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank and cherished Jordan's support of the Palestinian cause and the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah to halt the aggression on Gaza and provide immediate, substantial aid to the Strip.
