Jordanian peacekeeper killed in Mali

AMMAN — An official source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Thursday said that Sergeant Jamil Matrouk has been killed while on duty as part of the Rapid Deployment Force Mali 2 with the peacekeeping mission in Mali.
The JAF mourned the death of Sergeant Matrouk, who was pronounced dead at 1:30pm on Thursday, and expressed condolences to his family, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The JAF participation is part of its continuous role in international UN peacekeeping forces, offering aid to affected people in various conflict zones in the world.
