AMMAN — The Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Labour urged employers and illegal workers to rectify their statuses to avoid the consequences. In a joint statement, the two ministries said security agencies have begun campaigns to identify and legally address undocumented workers and their employers, as well as those who employ them in violation of the law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The statement emphasised the need for non-Jordanian undocumented workers to comply with Jordanian laws and regulations to protect their rights, notably preventing their exploitation when they do not have valid work or residence permits.
