AMMAN — Four Jordanian expatriates living in the city of Yiwu, China, donated 10,000 latex gloves and 5,000 face masks to the city’s entry and exit bureau, according to Tuesday’s issue of the Chinese newspaper People’s Daily.
The donors said that, following the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, they bought the gloves and face masks for the bureau’s personnel, who “work day and night to control the epidemic and protect us”.
They also expressed confidence in China’s ability to contain the virus, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Yiwu is a major trading city in China that hosts more than 500 Jordanian merchants.
