Jordanian expatriates' remittances record $1.1b in first 5 months of 2022

AMMAN — Jordanian expatriates' remittances to the Kingdom have increased by $16.4 million to hit $1.1 billion during the first four months of the year, marking an increase of 1.5 per cent, compared with the same period of last year.

The Central Bank of Jordan's (CBJ) primary data showed that the remittances in April witnessed an increase of $11.6 million, some 4.3 per cent, to reach $281.4 million. Jordanian expatriates' remittances by the end of 2021 totalled $3.4 billion.
