Jordanian detained in Egypt released — Foreign Ministry

AMMAN — As a result of efforts by the Jordanian Embassy in Egypt, Egyptian authorities have released Jordanian citizen Ashraf Omari who was detained on Friday, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah has said.
Qudah noted that Omari had been escorted to the Jordanian embassy’s headquarters and his family had been informed, according to a Foreign Ministry statement. Qudah thanked the Egyptian authorities for their “swift response” to the embassy’s request to release the citizen.
