Jordan, UK discuss military cooperation

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah and UK’s Secretary of Defence Michael Fallon on Monday discussed military and defence cooperation, a Royal Court statement said.
During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, the two sides discussed ways to further develop military and defence cooperation.
They reviewed regional developments, especially the efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.
HRH Prince Feisal, Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben attended the meeting.
Also on Monday, Zaben, who is also the King’s military adviser, met separately with Fallon and discussed ways to boost relations between the armed forces of the two countries in the presence of Prince Feisal.
