Jordan takes part in east Asian countries’ meeting on Palestine

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday participated in the 4th meeting of the Conference on Cooperation among East Asian Countries for Palestinian Development, held in Ramallah and Jericho, according to a ministry statement released on Thursday.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sufian Qudah said Jordan’s participation in the two-day conference reaffirms the Kingdom’s complete support for the Palestinian Authority to build up its institutions, infrastructure and national economy.
Delegations from Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Brunei also took part in the conference, while representatives from South Korea, Egypt, the Middle East Quartet (the United States, Russia, the UN and the EU), UNRWA and the Islamic Development Bank attended as observers, the statement added.
