AMMAN — Jordan and Switzerland on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding  (MoU) in the field of security cooperation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The memo, which aims to enhance security coordination and consultation between the two countries, was signed by Foreign Affairs Minister Ayman Safadi and his Swiss counterpart Didier Burkhalter.

The two diplomats stressed their keenness to develop cooperation between Jordan and Switzerland in economy, education and tourism.

During the meeting, they discussed Switzerland’s financing assistance to projects implemented in the Kingdom, especially those related to refugees and host communities. Safadi outlined the burdens that Jordan shoulders as a result of hosting Syrian refugees despite the scarcity of resources.
