Jordan Press Association delegation visits northern military region

AMMAN — A delegation of the Jordan Press Association (JPA) on Saturday visited the northern military region front where they were briefed on efforts exerted by border guards to maintain security and protect borders, in addition to the humanitarian role they perform towards the displaced Syrians.
Brig. Gen. Khaled Massaid, commander of the northern military region, reviewed with the delegation, headed by JPA President Rakan Saaideh, the tasks and duties carried out by the region’s members around the clock to protect and control borders, as well as preventing smuggling and infiltration through an integrated security system, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also pointed out that the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) are monitoring the northern border and dealing with sources of threat with caution. Massaid expressed his appreciation for the visit.
