Jordan participates in Non-Aligned Movement summit

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Jordan’s Ambassador to Venezuela Malek Twal participated in the 17th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement hosted by Venezuela’s Margarita Island, and reviewed the Kingdom’s stances on regional and international developments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
During the two-day summit, which concluded on Sunday, Twal delivered a speech highlighting Jordan’s efforts towards achieving peace, supporting a political solution to the Syrian crisis, and combating terrorism and extremism. Regarding the Syrian crisis, the diplomat briefed the 120 delegations attending the meeting on Jordan’s efforts in hosting refugees and providing them with necessary services.
