Jordan partakes in UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs

AMMAN – The Jordan Anti-Drugs Society on Wednesday participated in the 66th session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs, in the Austrian capital, Vienna, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The session, held from March 13 to 17, is one of the UN's most prominent gatherings to combat the illegal trafficking of narcotic substances and discuss global drug control system issues.
On the session's sidelines, the society, in cooperation with Jordan's Ambassador to Austria Haitham Abu Alfoul, held its annual event on discussing strategies to counter the impact of manufactured illegal drugs on youth and women, with the participation of the US government, the World Federation Against Drugs, the Turkish Green Crescent Society and Iceland's Planet Youth.
