Jordan Media Commission begins implementing four by-laws

AMMAN — The Jordan Media Commission on Thursday began implementing four by-laws which were published in the Gazette, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The first is the by-law of licensing fees for press, publishers, distributers, libraries, research centres, translation offices, public opinion poll centres and advertisement offices. The second by-law is related to licensing publishing facilities. The third is the by-law of accreditation of TV and radio stations and their correspondents.

The fourth is the by-law of print media correspondents and foreign media outlets. The commission’s General Director Mohammad Qteishat said that the new by-laws will develop the commission’s performance and achieve fairness among members of the media sector.
