Jordan keen on boosting economic cooperation with US — JCC chief

AMMAN — Nael Kabariti, chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, on Saturday met with US embassy Economic Counsellor Kevin Scullen to discuss bolstering economic cooperation between the two nations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, Kabariti stressed the "solidity" of US-Jordan relations, reiterating Jordan's keenness to enhance trade with the US.
Voicing appreciation towards the US’ support for the Kingdom, he pointed to the importance of increasing the level of cooperation, especially in regard to increasing the volume of Jordanian exports to the US.
Referring to the various investment opportunities in Jordan, Kabariti highlighted the attractive business environment in the Kingdom.
Underscoring the potential of many strategic sectors in the Kingdom, he stressed the need to support these sectors, as they are important contributors to increasing Jordan’s economic growth rate and reducing unemployment rates.
In turn, Scullen affirmed the US embassy’s commitment to supporting economic activity in the Kingdom and reducing the economic burden it bears as a result of the current global conditions.
