‘Jordan, Kazakhstan like-minded on key issues’

AMMAN — Jordan and Kazakhstan see eye to eye on regional issues and are key players in peace building efforts, Baltabay Omarov, minister-counsellor at the embassy of Kazakhstan, said Tuesday.
The two countries share common stances on the Syrian crisis and the Middle East peace process as well as efforts in combating terrorism and promoting nuclear disarmament, he said at an event at the Jordan Institute of Diplomacy.
Diplomats and speakers at the event highlighted the potential to boost cooperation between the two countries in fields of agriculture, economy, energy and industry. The gathering marked the Kazakh day of the first president, celebrated on December 1.
