Jordan-Iraq tourism memo published in Official Gazette

AMMAN — A memorandum of understanding that was signed by the Jordanian and Iraqi governments outlining cooperation in the tourism sector was published in the Official Gazette on Monday.
Under the memorandum, both parties agreed to increase tourist movement and exchange in order to promote the rich history and culture of their respective countries.
Tourism and travel companies in both nations are being encouraged to organise trips that will attract visitors to the region. In addition, both sides will provide assistance with entry procedures in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Moreover, the memo stipulates the facilitation of participation in exhibitions, conferences, festivals, and tourist markets to be held in both countries.
The agreement also provides for the exchange of information through brochures, printed materials, films, promotional materials and tourism statistics.
