Jordan, Iraq discuss next steps in border industrial zone project

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Tareq Hammouri and Iraqi officials on Monday discussed a number of economic agreements, one of which pertains to the finalisation of procedures for the establishment of a joint Jordanian-Iraqi industrial zone on the border, between the two countries.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Hammouri said that the Jordanian-Iraqi industries company held meetings to discuss the preliminary procedures that have been agreed on and to confirm the ones that are to be carried out later.
