At the ceremony, India’s Ambassador to Jordan Anil Trigunayat highlighted the essence and objectives of the society and said its re-launch is aimed at realising a strong foundation for people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
Through the society, Jordanians who have studied at Indian institutes and universities will help enhance and enrich interactions and appreciation of the two cultures.
A steering committee was formed to undertake joint Jordanian-Indian cultural activities and work to strengthen relations between the two countries and their peoples, the statement said.
