Jordan, Egypt and Iraq sign agreement to boost cooperation in field of humanitarian work

AMMAN — An agreement to enhance Jordanian-Egyptian-Iraqi tripartite cooperation in the field of humanitarian work was signed on Thursday among the three countries’ Red Crescent societies.
Based on the outcomes of trilateral summits that gathered the three countries’ leaderships, the agreement focusses on scaling up humanitarian efforts to set a cooperative model in the fields of humanitarian and development work, as well as community service.
The agreement is an initiative of the regional mission of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
The agreement was signed by the Jordan National Red Crescent Society President Mohammad Hadid, President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society Yassin Abbas and CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society Ramy El Nazer and MENA Regional Director of the IFRC Hossam Al Sharkawy.
