Jordan, Cyprus examine new economic ties and opportunities

AMMAN — The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) and the Cypriot Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) on Wednesday agreed to establish a fund to be financed by both chambers and the Paphos municipality to examine promising economic sectors in both countries, including agriculture, services and industry.
During a meeting with a Cypriot economic delegation, ACC President Issa Murad said that the arrival of the Cypriot delegates on a Ryanair flight will help encourage tourism between Jordan and Europe, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two sides also discussed means to develop trade and economic ties between Jordan and Cyprus. PCCI President Andreas Demetriades expressed hope that a direct flight between Paphos and Amman will contribute to opening new economic opportunities in the service, trade and tourism fields.
