Jordan condemns Israeli attacks on UN-run schools in Gaza

AMMAN — Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday condemned Israeli airstrikes on UNRWA-run Al Fakhoura and Tal Zatar schools in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry’s spokesperson Sufian Qudah voiced the Kingdom’s “strong” condemnation of the attacks which violate all humanitarian and moral values and international law and international humanitarian law, namely the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 1949.
Qudah said that the absence of justice and protection of the Palestinians, the non-stop violations of international law without any effective international move to halt the Israeli attacks aggression “will lead to dangerous repercussions”.
Qudah called on the international community and the UN Security Council, to take all necessary measures to “put an end to the aggression and the catastrophe it has caused in Gaza”.
