Jordan, Bulgaria discuss regional developments, bilateral relations

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez and Bulgarian Ambassador to Jordan Metin Kazak discussed on Wednesday ways to develop relations between the two countries in economic, parliamentary and political fields. Fayez commended the high level of bilateral relations based on mutual respect and shared cooperation in regards to political solutions to regional conflicts, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Fayez emphasised the importance of international support for the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah to find a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, in accordance with resolutions of international legitimacy and the two-state solution, leading to the establishment of their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital. Kazak acknowledged the role played by His Majesty in ending conflicts in the region, appreciating Jordan's significant contributions, particularly in hosting Syrian refugees. The Bulgarian ambassador also affirmed his country's keenness to enhance mutual cooperation with Jordan across various fields.
