Jordan, Australia discuss cooperation in crime fighting

AMMAN — Public Security Department (PSD) Director General Lt. Gen. Tawfiq Tawalbeh on Thursday met with Australian Ambassador to Jordan Heidi Venamore and discussed ways to boost police cooperation.

Tawalbeh stressed the importance of exchanging expertise to develop police work in fighting cross-border crimes, adding that international cooperation is vital to prevent crimes, according to a PSD statement.

Venamore also reiterated the significance of police cooperation, expressing to her country’s appreciation for Jordan’s role in the region.
