AMMAN — The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has launched a series of workshops to spread “Olympic values” among the Kingdom’s wider population, according to a statement from the Olympic Committee News Service.
In co-ordination with the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), the workshops are being held for children across the capital to teach them the value of sport and the role it can play in society.
The first of five workshops was held in Wadi Al Haddadeh for four days, with the participation of 32 boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 17, the statement said.
“These workshops spread the Spirit of Olympism throughout our community and help with behavioural change, particularly within young people,” said Narin Al Hajj Tass, JOC knowledge, training and education manager.
