JHCO sends 16-truck aid convoy to Gaza

AMMAN  The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) on Thursday sent a humanitarian convoy to the Gaza Strip, in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The convoy consisted of 16 trucks carrying medicines, baby formula and food and other relief items, which will be delivered to the Palestinian Health Directorate, the Social Development Directorate and medical complexes in the Strip.

The total number of trucks sent to the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 67 trucks in eight convoys.

JHCO’s Secretary General Hussein Shibli explained that the organisation continues to implement Royal directives to secure the basic and necessary needs in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, in coordination with the JAF.

He added that efforts have been exerted on all levels to secure local and international support from partners and donors.
