AMMAN — The Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) on Tuesday embarked on implementing the health support project for Palestinian refugees in camps, funded by the Indonesian Zakat Authority.
JHCO Secretary General Ayman Mifleh said that the project, targeting the Jordan-based refugee camps of Gaza, Hittin, Wehdat and Talbieh, will provide health centres with necessary medicines and medical equipment, according to a JHCO statement.
The organisation and the authority in July signed a cooperation agreement to implement health and educational projects for Palestinian and Syrian refugees.
Also on Tuesday, Mifleh told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that the JHCO dispatched to the Gaza Strip a seven-truck convoy laden with medicines and copies of the Koran in braille to be distributed to the blind.
