AMMAN — The Israeli occupation's racist policy, which is legally and humanely rejected, is based on the killing and arresting of Palestinians, storming their Islamic and Christian holy sites, especially Al Aqsa Mosque, Al Haram Al Sharif and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, besides the confiscation of their property and forced evictions, Secretary General of the Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs Abdullah Kanaan said on Tuesday.
In a committee statement, Kanaan said that the committee is observing the Israeli crimes and violations in Palestine and occupied Jerusalem with concern, and rejects and condemns the injustice that the Palestinians are subjected to.
He also deplored the arrest of the governor of Jerusalem and the storming of his home, which is considered a blatant breach of humanitarian treaties and international resolutions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He urged international organisations to monitor Israeli violations and report them to the international courts, calling on global media platforms to share the crimes of the occupation forces.
The committee also reiterated that Jordan, represented by its leadership and people, as well as the Hashemite Custodianship over Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian holy sites, will always be a main supporter for the Palestinian people and defending their holy shrines, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
