JEDCO signs agreement to support SMEs

AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding with SAM Engineering & Trade Co. (SAM) for cooperation to implement a programme to support innovation of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) working in the industrial sector to use applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
JEDCO CEO Abdelfattah Kayed and SAM General Manager Samir Ayasrah signed the memo, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Kayed said that the memo is part of the corporation's strategic plan to support efforts to spread Fourth Industrial Revolution applications among SMEs to enable national industries to use advanced technologies.
Ayasrah said that the Fourth Industrial Revolution seeks to develop the industrial sector and empower economic growth, stressing the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors in transferring knowledge and offering necessary technical support to enhance innovation at the industrial sector.
