AMMAN — The Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) on Wednesday signed grant agreements targeting 38 projects, including 26 agricultural schemes.

Irbid Governor Radwan Otoum, who attended the signing ceremony, stressed the importance of directing financial, technical and technological support to communities and families in order to establish sustainable projects that can contribute to improving the economy, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

JEDCO Deputy CEO Mutei Ghuneimat said that the corporation works with its public and private sector partners to build competitive capacities for the beneficiaries of its services as part of the economic empowerment programme that has supported some 1,200 projects nationwide.

JRF Director General Inaam Breishi said that cooperation with JEDCO, International Fund for Agricultural Development and the Dutch government resulted in the provision of these grants for the establishment of projects with sustainable economic and development impacts.
