AMMAN — Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) Fathi Jaghbir on Sunday discussed with Iraqi Minister of Trade Athir Ghurairi and Iraqi Minister of Industry Khaled Najm ways to enhance bilateral trade and industrial relations.
The discussions went over the challenges facing trade exchange and ways to increase its volume and improve cooperation ties, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Jaghbir, who is also head of the Amman Chamber of Industry, stressed the need to organise meetings for Jordanian and Iraqi exporters to discuss ways to enhance exports and address problems facing the two countries' traders.
A meeting for Jordanian exporters with Iraqi trade minister and director of Iraqi Customs is scheduled to be held in Baghdad, Jaghbir said.
He also noted that the discussions come ahead of the joint committee to be an opportunity for Jordanian exporters to interact with Iraqi officials and discuss challenges directly to "comprehensively and effectively" address proposed issues.
