Japanese Film Week kicks off

AMMAN — The Japanese embassy on Sunday launched the 10th edition of the Japanese Film Week in Jordan.
The yearly event is funded by the Japan Foundation (JF) and JT International and organised by the Royal Film Commission (RFC), according to a Japanese embassy statement.
During the film week, four films of diverse topics are scheduled to be screened, including in the genre of animation, drama, social film and suspense.
The film show takes place in Rainbow Theatre in Amman from 7pm until Wednesday. The entry is free of charge. In his opening remarks, Japanese Ambassador Shimazaki Kaoru expressed his graduate for the JF, JT International and the RFC for their cooperation. “I hope many Jordanians enjoy watching Japanese films and get interested in Japanese culture,” he said.
