JAF training, operations commander attends Eager Lion military drill

AMMAN — Head of the operations and training at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) Brig. Gen. Misleh Maaytah on Friday attended a Jordan-US military drill as part of “Eager Lion 2018”.
Maaytah was briefed by officers from the two armies on the drill’s stages and measures of execution, as well as the importance of the exercise in enhancing the capabilities and competence of personnel in using weaponry and implementing field skills.
Director of Joint Military Training at JAF Brig. Gen. Mohammad Bani Yasseen said that this annual drill aims at increasing coordination and cooperation between the armies of Jordan and the US, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. “Eager Lion” drills have been held annually in the Kingdom since 2011, in cooperation with the US and the participation of several countries.
