AMMAN — President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry (JACI) Fathi Jaghbir on Wednesday urged industrialists to utilise a new sea freight service offered by the Aqaba Container Terminal for US-bound Jordanian exports.
Jaghbir said that the new service ensures that cargo from Jordan bound for the East Coast of the US will arrive within 20-25 days, thanks to a tracking system developed to address any obstacles facing exported containers at transit ports, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
According to Jaghbir, 22 per cent of Jordanian exports go to the US markets, totalling $1.7 billion a year.
