AMMAN — A delegation from the Italian police on Wednesday had a firsthand look at the Jordan Museum's expertise in preserving the Kingdom's heritage and its current cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD) to carry out its duties.

Jordan Museum Director Genral Ihab Ammarin welcomed the delegates, who are visiting the Rangers as part of the "Twinning of the Environment and Heritage" project, which seeks to develop activities in the environment and tourism fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Ammarin highlighted the museum’s operational procedures to ensure security of its visitors and exhibits. The delegation — headed by Lt. Col. Antonio Santaniello, and comprising Commander of Italian Police Group for Protection of Cultural Heritage Lt. Col. Giuseppe Marseille, and Lt. Col. Andrea Baldi of Italian Police for Environmental Protection — toured the museum, and expressed their admiration for its “advanced level”, especially pertaining to security and control system.
