AMMAN — Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal Initiatives, on Saturday inaugurated the headquarters of the Sahab Development Foundation (SDF).
The building’s inauguration in Amman’s Sahab district was done in fulfilment of His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives.
During the ceremony, Issawi said that the implementation of this Royal Initiative would have a direct role in improving the living standards of citizens by empowering various societal and charitable institutions to carry out services.
This building aims to improve services and developmental realities in Sahab to achieve the “noble” aims of the SDF, he added.
Ahmed Husainat, chairman of the SDF, said that the foundation offers different courses, symposiums and conferences, adding that the SDF and the Jordan River Foundation had agreed to train and recruit Sahab residents.
Sahab Mayor Abbas Maharmah highlighted the importance of partnership in helping utilise Sahab’s industrial zone.
Issawi also met with the districts residents to discuss their challenges, needs and demands, the Jordan News, Petra, reported.
The residents’ demands focused on implementing productive income-generating projects to help contribute to improving the standards of living in the district. Issawi stressed that the demands would be studied in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities.
Established in 2004, the SDF aims at developing Sahab and supporting the district’s young people through workshops and lectures, Petra added.
