AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad and Education Minister Tayseer Nuaimi on Tuesday discussed administrative, technical and security procedures that have been established for the holding of the 2020 Tawjihi exams (general secondary education certificate examination).
Hammad noted the role of the Interior Ministry and its security apparatuses and administrative governors in supporting the Education Ministry's efforts to hold Tawjihi exams amid the pandemic, whether by monitoring Tawjihi halls or protecting examination papers while they are transported from the ministry to exam locations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Nuaimi said that the ministry has finished all the necessary preparations to hold the national exam, noting that a total of 178,217 students are registered to sit for the exam at 1,850 locations nationwide. Each location will only hold 12 to 15 students due to health regulations to combat COVID-19.
