Interior minister, UNRWA Jordan director meet over support to Palestine refugees

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad on Wednesday met Director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jordan Mohammed Adar over common-interest issues, notably safety and anti-COVID-19 measures in Jordan’s Palestinian refugee camps.
During the meeting, Hammad expressed the ministry’s readiness to support the agency’s efforts towards serving refugees and meeting their needs in various health and economic fields, highlighting Jordan's "solid relations" with international organisations and commissions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Lauding the Kingdom’s efforts to support refugees, Adar emphasised the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two sides and taking the necessary measures to activate bilateral relations. He also reviewed the agency’s plan in Jordan, highlighting the main programmes for Palestinian refugees through UNRWA's health centres.
