Interior minister meets heads of security agencies

AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Qadi on Monday visited the Civil Defence Department (CDD) headquarters, and met with its director, Lt. Gen. Talal Kofahi, over ways to further develop humanitarian services the department offers. Kofahi said the CDD is currently implementing a plan that aims at raising public awareness on summer accidents, especially forest fires and drowning incidents, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Qadi also visited the Public Security Department and met with its director, Maj. Gen. Atef Saudi, commending the role of its personnel in ensuring Jordan’s security and stability. In a visit to the Gendarmerie Department, Qadi met its director, Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, and praised the department’s role in enforcing the law and serving citizens and residents.
