Interior minister, Japanese ambassador hold talks over ties, regional issues

AMMAN — Interior Minister Salameh Hammad and Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Hidenao Yanagi on Monday discussed regional developments and ways to enhance bilateral relations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During the meeting, Hammad highlighted the “tangible development” of relations between the two countries, which, in turn, has reflected positively on various economic, political and service sectors.
The minister pointed to the need to share expertise in the field of security to counter crime and terrorism, and achieve peace in light of regional developments. For his part, the Japanese ambassador lauded the Kingdom’s development in various fields and expressed his country’s desire to further bolster relations.
