AMMAN — The Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) inspection personnel and the North Amman Security Directorate on Thursday seized an unauthorised workshop in the area of Shafa Badran in Amman, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The workshop produced and packaged food supplements which it claimed were pharmaceuticals approved by the JFDA.
The suspects promoted the products through social network platforms and printed fake labels identifying the country of origin as Italy.
The JFDA personnel and the police confiscated around 21,220 different items and sealed the workshop. Security authorities told Petra the suspects would be referred to the Public Prosecutor.
