Infiltrator from Syria killed

AMMAN — Border guards thwarted an attempt by two people to illegally enter Jordan from Syria on Tuesday, according to an official source at the Jordan Armed Forces.

As the two did not heed warnings, border guards shot at them, killing one and wounding the other who was taken to the nearest medical centre.

Meanwhile, 780 Syrian refugees, including nine injured people, entered Jordan in the past 24 hours through various illegal entry points.
