Industry minister, Greek ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali on Monday met with Greek Ambassador to Jordan Eleftheria Galathianak to discuss bolstering economic cooperation and trade between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The two sides focused on overcoming challenges faced by businesspeople and activating the role of the Jordanian-Greek joint economic and cultural committee and preparing for a coming business conference.
Shamali stressed Jordan’s keenness to develop economic cooperation with Greece, increase the volume of trade, stimulate investment and exchange expertise. Jordanian exports to Greece hit $11.24 million, witnessing a drop of 18.26 per cent, while Greek exports to Jordan hit $49.24 million, recording a drop of 3.66 per cent.
