Individual truck ownership stands at 78.5% — transport commission

AMMAN — Individual truck ownership makes up 78.5 per cent of the total truck ownership, while trucking companies ownership of the Kingdom's trucks accounts for 21.5 per cent, the Land Transport Regulatory Commission said on Tuesday.
The total number of trucks in 2021 reached 19,805, out of which 15,551 for individual owners, while 4,254 are owned by local companies, the Jordan news Agency, Petra, reported. A total of 19,805 truck heads were operative in 2021 and trailers totalled 21,172.
The average age of trucking fleet in the Kingdom reached 19.52 years, according to the commission's figures.
