Indian envoy, JIC chief talk investment cooperation

AMMAN — Indian ambassador to Jordan Anwar Haleem and Chairman of the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC) Khaled Wazani on Monday discussed means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries, notably in the investment and economic fields.

During the meeting, Wazani expressed the commission’s readiness to provide all support and facilitations to Indian investors, highlighting the importance of supporting the Jordanian-Indian partnership, according to a JIC statement.

Lauding Indian ventures’ role in supporting the national economy, Wazani reviewed the available investment opportunities in the Kingdom, touching on the JIC’s plans designated to create an attractive investment environment.

Praising the JIC’s efforts, notably those exerted towards Indian investors, the envoy stressed Indian companies’ interest in investing in Jordan given its “promising” investment environment.
