Indian embassy celebrates ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

AMMAN — The Indian embassy in Amman on Sunday launched the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” cultural festival to commemorate the 75th year of India’s independence, according to an embassy statement.
The week-long cultural festival is among a series of cultural events to mark the occasion.
In his opening remarks, India’s Ambassador to Jordan Anwar Haleem conveyed his best wishes to the Indian community and the friends of India in Jordan on the 75th year of India’s independence, highlighting the country’s achievements.
The ambassador also urged the Indian community to take part in the national anthem campaign launched by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
