IEC accepts 15 candidacy bids for Irbid by-election

AMMAN — The Independent Elections Commission (IEC) on Thursday announced that it accepted 15 candidacy applications and rejected four others submitted by candidiates wishing to run in the by-elections for Irbid’s 2nd District to fill the seat left vacant by MP Mohammad Khasawneh, who passed away on September 23.
The IEC said the rejected applicants either failed to provide the needed documents or did not meet candidacy requirements.
The election is slated for November 29.
