House speaker meets vice chairman of Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi on Monday voiced the Kingdom's support for the legitimate Yemeni government, and the country's unity, security and stability.

During a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Othman Majali, Safadi was acquainted with the latest developments in Yemen and efforts to realise security and stability and restore legitimacy, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Majali expressed appreciation for Jordan's role in support of Yemen, highlighting his country's need for Arab solidarity to support the leadership council, the Yemeni government and people against militias that encroach upon the land, violate human rights and exploit the country's resources, notably the territorial waters of the Bab Al Mandeb Strait, to serve foreign agendas aimed at destabilising the region and threatening maritime navigation.
