House speaker meets Hungarian counterpart

BUDAPEST — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh met with his Hungarian counterpart Laszlo Kover earlier this week and discussed ways to develop bilateral relations.
During the meeting, both officials reiterated the importance of activating joint agreements and memoranda of understanding in the agriculture, tourism, culture and energy sectors.
Tarawneh thanked the Hungarian government for granting 100 academic scholarships to Jordanian students.

Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Tuesday met separately with EU Ambassador Joanna Wronecka and Kazakh Ambassador Bulat Sarsenbayev and discussed parliamentary and bilateral relations.
His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday received Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary László Kövér and an accompanying delegation currently on a working visit to the Kingdom.
