House speaker meets Algerian counterpart

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Abdulkarim Dughmi on Wednesday in Cairo met with Speaker of the Algerian People's National Assembly Ibrahim Boughali on the sidelines of the 32nd meeting of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union. Dughmi stressed the "deep-rooted" ties between the two countries, which constitute a "model" in Arab joint action, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also expressed Parliament's keenness to enhance partnership and cooperation with the Algerian People's National Assembly through exchanging visits and parliamentary expertise in various fields.

Boughali expressed the Algerian people and leadership's praise to Jordanian stances and Algeria's keenness to coordinate with the Kingdom in various issues. He also said that Algeria aspires to increase commercial exchange between the two countries and benefit from the Jordanian parliamentary experience.
