House speaker expresses condolences to Turkish ambassador

AMMAN — Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Murat Karagoz on Wednesday visited Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh and referred to the common threats facing Turkey and Jordan, foremost of which is terrorism.
Tarawneh offered his condolences over the loss of life in the terrorist attack that recently targeted Istanbul, welcoming endeavours to further boost parliamentary cooperation, according to a Turkish embassy statement.
Karagoz also paid a courtesy visit to Justice Minister Awad Mashagbeh, offering his sympathies over the victims of the Karak attack. The diplomat highlighted the "close cooperation" between Ankara and Amman in judicial fields.
